Zachary Balber, a lens-based artist, produced his ample series “Intimate Stranger” in Miami from 2013 to 2020. He has combined photography and performance practices in every one of his pictures in a private and solitary display.

Balber transforms the spaces of luxury houses and apartments, where he once worked as a real estate photographer, into the perfect stages for his varied self-representation. His work contains a bunch of discourses. They imply filial issues, economic and political concerns, a questioning vision of contemporary art, and gender problematics—particularly about masculinity.
