Almendra’s cast aluminum objects also engage in reclaimed material. The wooden plank from which the mold is made was found on the side of the street. The figs were given by a neighbor. Even the aluminum itself was reclaimed. As such, the objects take on the histories, exchanges, and relationships embedded in the sourced items.
