Noormah Jamal’s mixed-media practice interrogates ecological-cultural intersections through ceramic sculpture and neo-expressionist drawing. Her figures emerge from and dissolve into botanical forms, executed in contrasting materials - fragile unfired clay against permanent ceramics -while gestural markings in acrylic and oil explore trauma and resilience. Drawing from Pukhtoon heritage and her native Peshawar, she examines nature as silent witness to contemporary conflicts and cultural misrepresentation.
