Description

Nefeli Papadimouli explores space’s relationship to the body. Part of the Milieu mouvant (2021) series, two large-scale fans embody fragility: one of wood and paper, the other of wood and organic cotton. These manipulable fans transform the architectural space, influencing proximity and distance between people. Nearby, two leather costumes, Cocoon (sardine) and Cocoon (ladybug) (2023), made from recycled leather, invite reflection on connection and influence between living beings, drawing from drawing from the artist’s experience of motherhood.
