This photograph depicts a reservoir in Wales, and was soaked in water that Brandt collected from the site. Over time, the water eroded the image, resulting in a psychedelic transformation that unites subject and image. This work is part of Brandt’s “Lakes and Reservoir” series, which can be found in the collections of the Getty Museum, LACMA and the Met.
