The lecture will cover the Collective’s goals to advocate for industry practices that are transparent and fair, such as promoting clear consignment agreements, transparent resale policies, and equitable commission structures. Amani will touch on how both founders are working to introduce sustainable practices that can benefit artists’ careers long-term, making the art world more accessible and supportive of artists’ voices.

Concluding with a look toward the future, Amani will emphasize Artist First Collective’s commitment to curating artist-centered experiences, engaging with collectors, and building collaborative relationships within the industry. In addition to advocacy, Amani will discuss current projects within Artist First Collective, including multiple group exhibitions—one at a brand-new gallery in Dallas and another with NADA in 2025. The Collective is also preparing to launch print editions for artists, expanding their reach and providing further opportunities for artistic engagement.
