NADA is pleased to announce the NADA x Surf Point Summer 2025 Gallerist in Residence Program, a pilot initiative for NADA Gallery Members organized in collaboration with Surf Point, a nonprofit organization located on the coast of York, Maine that supports visual artists and art workers.
This program aims to catalyze long-term exchange between NADA Members and the regional Maine and New Hampshire art community while fostering community among the resident dealers.
From July 28 through August 4, 2025, the mini-residency will offer four NADA Members an opportunity to explore the cultural scene in Maine, visit artists studios, and enjoy a beautiful part of the Atlantic coast. Surf Point will facilitate open call online portfolio reviews in advance of the residency, encouraging each gallerist to arrange three or more studio visits with selected artists from the submitted portfolios. The recipient will work with Surf Point to develop an itinerary for the residency. Surf Point will host an on-site public event on August 2, 2025 during which residents will make brief presentations about their program, artists, and current projects.
While we welcome all NADA Members to apply, please note that Surf Point is in a remote location, and having a car is a great convenience. The residency is self funded. The dramatically designed modernist building is 6,000 square feet and is largely accessible—if there are questions about accessibility please reach out directly. Each space has a desk and its own private bathroom. Residents are responsible for their own groceries and meals. No staff live on site. If you would like more information on the location and accommodations, please contact [email protected] for a copy of the Surf Point handbook.
