Women are either pure and in danger, or impure and dangerous. Society grows to ignore and villainize the behaviors and processes that have been labeled as impure. Purity can be defined as innocence, “which is the beauty of this heart that brings him/her near or next to godliness”. Innocence is feminine. A rarefied quality of ignorance, innocence is to not grasp imaginatively that death will come, to be ignorant of sex. Innocence, inexperience, youthfulness, agreeableness, fertility and virginity are, and always will be, the unspoken meta.
