Selena Kimball collages cut-out images from the New York Times referencing contemporary events. At NADA, Kimball’s diptych silk-screen painting, scaled to the height of her body based on her New York Times collage-photomontage, was inspired by Thomas Jefferson’s Bible. Jonathan Ehrenberg’s recent works, made primarily with white clay shaped into a bas-relief, defy easy categorization. He introduces forms, some familiar and some foreign, that connect with experiences from two different generations—his young daughter and his aging father— pondering over the time and lives between.
