Benjamin’s smaller canvases are densely packed with detail. In the background, tropical ferns stand flat against a twilight sky, painted in shades of blue so subtle they are hard for the eye to differentiate. The painting series, Crossed Out I and II, shows the woman in dissonant connection to her physical body.
