NADA Miami 2023

Cop Shiva’s photographs includes a series of intimate portraits of his mother, urban migrants, people 
of alternative sexuality, street performers and others living in the hinterland of urban and rural conflict. Props and postures serve as aids in the business of posing, of presenting a persona. As a policeman and as a photographer, Cop Shiva seeks intimacy through the lens of his camera, which has become a receptacle and a record of the everyday lives of the city’s residents.
