Aurora Király’s glass-plate photography depicts momentary mindscapes inspired by the artist’s walks through Bucharest. The artist plays into the idea of image-making, taking a leap into the history of photography and glass-plated images, involving herself in an arduous process through which the photographic emulsion becomes imprinted on the glass.
The clashing difference of the materials used for the Viewfinders further links photography to its ability to embalm time throughout our lifetimes, so while the image stays the same, everything around it changes and ultimately affects its understanding.
