NADA Miami 2022

For the final day of NADA Miami, Arsimmer McCoy will be performing spoken word in response to a series of die-cut pad-sculptures by Andy Ralph. As a writer and poet, McCoy is invested in increasing the ways in which creatives produce work together. Thus, the two artists met in Miami a week prior to the fair to discuss how their work would function together. The artists’ works, both dealing in reflection, conclude our exhibitions as a meditation on the role we play at the fair, in the city, and as visitors as McCoy pays homage to the beauty of Miami, activating conversations around local history, collective community movements, unfiltered joy, spectrums of violence, the brilliance of love, the Mother, and the grit of black people in this vibrant city.
