NADA Miami 2022

On December 1, Jenna Balfe will conduct intimate performances using Chang Sujung’s ‘security blanket’ as an enveloping container. The ‘security blanket’ was made by appropriating the pattern used in a security envelope, a type of envelope with a pattern printed on the inside to obscure the contents. This custom printed fabric was then quilted by the artist and manipulated to suggest both a moving pad and an envelope torn open. Responding to the things we keep hidden, both in our mail and personal lives, Balfe will make a series of drawings on custom fabric resembling a page from a notepad by Chang while engaging the attendees of NADA Miami.
