Burnaway is pleased to present new paintings by the Atlanta-based artist, organizer, and publisher, Dianna Settles. Focused on themes of interdependence, community, and solidarity, Settles describes her work as, “attempts to shapeshift and transform fleeting moments of joy, isolation, power, and friendship into something more lasting and fluid.” Her vibrant and detailed canvases demonstrate her signature synthesis of traditional Vietnamese and classical European painting styles informed by her mixed Vietnamese-American heritage.
