The New Art Dealers Alliance is pleased to present the 2nd edition of NADA Hudson, an exhibition featuring 48 artist projects by NADA members and affiliates. NADA Hudson is not an art fair, but rather a site-specific project organized by the New Art Dealers Alliance. The project builds upon the character of a historic venue, the Basilica Hudson, and showcases contemporary sculpture, installation and video. This year, galleries will present one piece by one artist within the Main Hall, as well as outdoor projects and a looping video program. The video program is being curated by NADA member Grela Orihuela, executive producer at Wet Heat Projects—an organization that makes documentaries on contemporary art.
NADA’s cultural partner LittleCollector will host free tours designed specifically for children (ages 5 and up) during NADA Hudson on Sunday, July 29th at Noon and 2pm. On this special tour, kids will accompany an Arts Educator through the event and will learn about how each of the five senses comes alive when looking at art.
In conjunction with NADA Hudson, the Hudson community has planned various events throughout the weekend for visitors to enjoy while staying upstate.
Olana will offer free shuttles to visitors from NADA Hudson on Saturday, July 28 from 5–7pm for an excursion to Olana, an incredible hilltop Persian-inspired mansion and spectacular 250-acre artist-designed landscape overlooking the Hudson Valley. Renowned Hudson River School painter, Frederic Church, designed Olana. Enjoy a glass of wine on the piazza, peek into the artist’s studio and hear more about Olana’s fascinating history—where art meets environmentalism—from Olana’s curators and contemporary artist Valerie Hegarty.
