Romina Chul’s Ofrenda emerged from what the artist calls her “archaeological practice of imagination.” Often inspired by Peruvian Pre-Hispanic cultures, Chul treats textiles and ceramics as archives that can reconstitute connections between past and future. Ofrenda draws on Pre-Hispanic histories to imagine new pathways to true reproductive freedom at a time when these rights are under threat globally.
