Join us for a conversation with artist Mike Bouchet and Nick Katz—a Miami born entrepreneur, art collector, community organizer and co-creator of Miami’s Andrew skateboard and clothing company.

They will be discussing a number of topics including: experimental thinking, risk taking, the fertile link between skateboard and art cultures, and the creation of cultural situations in cities.

 

Mike Bouchet was born in Castro Valley, California (b. 1970), and he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from UCLA, Los Angeles in 1994. He was based in New York City until he moved to Frankfurt, Germany in 2005, where he has lived and worked ever since.

 

Bouchet's works are continuously exhibited in international galleries, museums and institutions. In 2009 he participated with his work Watershed at the Venice Biennale and 2016 he presented Zurich Load at the Manifesta 11. Bouchet's works are represented in numerous public and private art collections including Margulies Collection/Miami, Centre Georges Pompidou/Paris, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Francois Pinault Collection/Paris, LVMH Collection/Paris, Städel Museum/Frankfurt, Astrup Fearnley Museum/Oslo; Belvedere Museum in Vienna; Jumex Collection/Mexico City and the Ullens Collection in Beijing.
