Dinner Gallery will be presenting a solo booth by Wen Liu. Akin to the molting process of animals, Liu uses mold making techniques to explore concepts of loss, abandonment and healing. She meticulously builds molds in order to make her sculptures stronger, keenly aware that she will eventually discard them. This process is representative of overcoming hardships and challenges presented throughout life which inevitably give way to larger life lessons and shape who we are. Her works convey narratives of absence and presence and serve as a reminder that the old gives way to the new.
