NADA Miami 2021

A solo exhibition of new works by Texas-based artist Evita Tezeno will be presented. Tezeno’s collage paintings are composed of richly patterned, hand-embellished and painted papers, acrylic paint, graphite and found objects in a folk-art style. While influenced by the great 20th century modernists Romare Bearden, Elizabeth Catlett, and William H. Johnson, Tezeno’s unique voice reflects a synthesis of aesthetic approaches that animate her vision of Black America filled with humanity.
