NADA House 2021

Martos Gallery is pleased to present Three Films by Michel Auder. This selection of films, presented together and on a loop, portray Auder’s daughter Alexandra, stepdaughter Gaby, ex-wives Viva and Cindy Sherman, and attempted assassin Valerie Solanas. These films are played together to highlight their chance echoes and directly overlapping footage—they inform, foreshadow, contradict, and visually rhyme with one another. Together, they constitute a suite of portraiture of female artists, exploring themes of creation and destruction, domesticity and intimacy, maturity and mortality.
