NADA House 2021

Secret Project Robot is pleased to present “We Weren’t Always Here: People Change the World around them For better or Worse,” a site specific fountain that explores the evolving relationship between nature, pollution, industrialization and conservation on Governors Island.

For this project Erik Zajaceskowski and Rachel Nelson are constructing a ceramic solar powered fountain, which will be an homage to the importance of clean water and a symbol of renewal. The project hopes to shed light on how humanity has shaped the environment over the last three centuries, and for viewers to sense the complex relationship between economics, and climate change.
