Created during a tumultuous time during our collective human history, the works from Monika Grabuschnigg’s "Razed in Isolation" explore moments in time that remain in our memory after great disturbances change the course of our world’s foundations. In conjunction with a text by Marie-Charlotte Carrier, a poetic narrative unfolds detailing the result of turmoil and cataclysmic events take place. The different stories, as chronicled through the artist’s descriptive ceramic surfaces, emerged from private limbo, and delve into how humanity continues to function after earth-shattering events alter our perspectives and way of life.
