Jerome Tavé and Kyle Lawson of 10th Floor Studio present a collection of works that challenge the underlying philosophy of built environments, whose sterile characteristics alienate society from other species. These works put forth a vision where the brutalist, industrial logic of aluminum is harmonized with the warm chaos of fungi. Through this collection 10th Floor Studio presents visions of futures where humanity finds greater integration with the plants, animals and fungi with whom our fates are intertwined.
Several of these works take the form of speculative accessories to be worn or carried around with the idea of encouraging and spreading biodiversity.
