Please join artist Jake Troyli in conversation with curator and writer Danny Dunson on a virtual walkthrough of Troyli’s solo exhibition Don’t Forget to Pack a Lunch! currently on view at Monique Meloche Gallery. Troyli will discuss his dynamic new body of work, aimed at investigating the construction of otherness and the commodification of the black/brown body. This timely evolution of the artist’s practice confronts and explores labor capitalism and sweat equity as a demonstration of value, challenging the erroneous notion that it is only through arduous performances of labor that importance is earned.
