A unique partnership between Critical Path Method Gallery and Play Magnus Group, a chess e-learning and entertainment company founded by Norwegian World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, will bring a series of chess events to NADA New York.
Taking place over two days, the events will include a 24 player tournament for NYC public school kids from the “Chess in the Schools” program, and a series of simultaneous matches between visitors of the fair and world class chess players, including Grandmaster and former Canadian Champion, Pascal Charbonneau and International Master Dmitri Shneider.
The events will be emceed by the artist Peter LaBier, who will engage with the players and the audience throughout both days.
