You’re invited to join NADA House for Cathartic Comedy and Cat Paintings, a night of performances hosted by Jennifer Sullivan on Governors Island, Friday, June 21, 7pm.

Cathartic Comedy and Cat Paintings brings together artists who process emotions in a humorous and performative vein. Using stand-up comedy as a process somewhere between therapy and drawing, it’s a direct method of sharing the imperfect but authentic parts of ourselves.

In conjunction with the event, Sullivan is exhibiting recent paintings of her cat, a frequent alter ego and muse that she uses to explore her own primal energy.

Ferries to Governors Island can be taken to and from 10 South Street in Manhattan.
