NADA Panel Discussion - The Drawing Center, New York, May 12, 2009
"Laying low, aiming high, and keeping the faith in contemporary and emerging art": a panel discussion with art professionals organized by the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), and hosted by the Drawing Center, New York. The panel will include collectors: Dr. Dana Beth Ardi, Joshua Adler, and NADA Members Candace Worth, Augusto Arbizo, and will be moderated by Lowell Pettit.
Dow down, dow up, we do what we do carefully, enthusiastically, ethically, and unapologetically. This will be an evening of candid discussion with those who have not lost faith in art and the art market. Independent of the Dow, Bail-out acrimony, and mortgage foreclosure, our artists, advisors, collectors, curators and galleries continue to do great work. How do we hang-on, hold-out or put-out, and spread the word?

New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) - We are a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization devoted to giving support and encouragement to those who work with new contemporary and emerging art; facilitating strong, and meaningful relationships between our members; and enhancing the public's interaction with contemporary art. We believe in a spirit of friendly competition and the power of working collectively to gain access to resources and to provide services to artists and the public that we could not as individuals.
